Odd Harald Skuggen originally came from Ålesund.

Born on January 29, 1941, in Ålesund, Odd Harald Skuggen is a prominent figure in Kristiansand’s business community and has for decades been a dedicated supporter of the football club IK Start. Even as a young man, he made a name for himself as Norway’s youngest bank manager at Dalles Bank in the 1960s. With his background in finance, management, and business development, he played an important role in Start’s history.

With his experience as an economist and as director of the Kristiansand branch of Norges Bank, he brought both professional expertise and leadership skills that greatly benefited the club. As chairman of the club for two terms, a total of seven years, he was a central figure in its organization and development.

Under his leadership, there was a focused effort on structure, financial management, and organization — all driven by a deep passion for the club and its members.

In 2005, he was awarded the Gold Badge, a prestigious honor for long and significant contributions. When he was named Honorary Member of IK Start in 2012, it was a reflection of the deep respect he held among the members and the lasting value he had brought to the club.

Odd Harald Skuggen has been a bridge between financial responsibility and true club spirit. He has stood for long-term thinking, calm leadership, and clear direction in a club where emotions often rise and fall with the match results.
